Accommodations, Childcare, Dinner, and Souvenir
---------- Accommodations ----------
- Hotels/Motels:
There are many hotels/motels of varying quality/cost along the I-81
corridor between Syracuse and the most-northern meet site of Day 2. See
Oswego County
Tourism - Accommodations.
- Hotel Special: We have reserved a limited number of rooms at a slightly reduced rate at
what we consider to be the most convenient to all venues:
Holiday Inn Express, Brewerton
(just off Exit 31 of I-81)
Call them directly at 315-676-3222 and mention Orienteering for either
- an "executive single" @ $99 (king bed, microwave, fridge and
additional pull-out) or
- a "double" @ $89 (two queen beds, no "extras").
- Camping: There are some private campgrounds located fairly close
to the Day 3 meet site and NYS run campgrounds located at
Green Lakes
(Day 1) and on the
east end of Lake
Ontario, but if the fish are "running" expect to have difficulties getting
last-minute accommodations of any type up north.
- Camping Special:
Day 3 race will be parking at and adjacent to a private campground called
Hidden Acres
(see directions on main page).
The owners have graciously reduced the prices they will charge orienteers during this weekend to
- $15/family/day for tent site + $3/adult extra and
- $20/RV/day (with full hookups) + $3/adult extra
until full. Make reservations directly by calling 315-625-7110 and mention you're with the orienteering event. Since this is centrally located between the other venues & dinner and is the parking for the final day this would be an ideal site for those camping.
Check this web site for updates or contact the registrar for a list of other possible motels and camping.
---------- Childcare ----------
Childcare will be available for a fee during the competition only.
Watch this web site for updates or contact the registrar for details.
