CNYO Wednesday Evening Training Meet

Courses: No idea what format we'll do but it'll be a pain.

Instruction: If you're new to this and/or want instruction, tell the meet director and he'll buttonhole a CNYO member to help you out. This meet may be more devious than the usual Wednesday evening standard, though.

Fees: Usual $2 per map weeknight training fee applies; no member discounts.

Starts: Starts are at an old gravel pit about a mile up the truck trail off Snyder Hill Rd. (For explicit info on how to get there see Directions, below.)

Arrive at 5:30 to register and copy maps; start at 6:00- this is a half hour earlier than usual.

Directions:
From Syracuse and points north:
I-81 to exit 10. Go south on Rt 11. Turn right on Rt 392 west. After crossing the river, then the RR tracks, climb the hill and at the top turn right onto Snyder Hill Rd. Follow this until it Ts at Carson Rd./Snyder Hill Rd. and turn right. About 1/4 mile past this intersection turn left onto a State Forest truck trail. We'll meet at an old gravel pit about 1 mile in.

From Binghamton and points south:
I-81 to exit 9. Go north on Rt 11. Turn left on Rt 392 west. After crossing the river, then the RR tracks, climb the hill and at the top turn right onto Snyder Hill Rd. Follow this until it Ts at Carson Rd./Snyder Hill Rd. and turn right. About 1/4 mile past this intersection turn left onto a State Forest truck trail. We'll meet at an old gravel pit about 1 mile in.


From Ithaca area: Rt 13 to Dryden. At the traffic light, continue straight onto Rt 392 east. Follow Rt. 392 east through Virgil, going past the Greek Peak ski area about 1/2 to 1 mile and turn left (up) Carson Road (just past "The Rafters" inn). After cresting the hill and the sharp left bend continue straight through the three way intersection with Snyder Hill. About 1/4 mile past this intersection turn left onto a State Forest truck trail. We'll meet at an old gravel pit about 1 mile in.
