INFORMATION

Competitors have up to 3 hours before penalties are assessed.  There will be 26 controls spread around the city of Cortland.  Each control site you visit subtracts 1 minute from your total time competing.  Twelve of these controls will be classified as a "Miss"; this means that no vessels were "hit".  The remaining controls will be classified as follows:      2 for a PT Boat, 3 for a Submarine, 4 for a Cruiser, and 5 for a Battleship.  To "sink" a vessel, locate all sites for that particular vessel. Each completely sunk vessel      increases the number of minutes subtracted from the your total time (e.g., sinking a PT Boat      subtracts an additional 2 minutes, sinking a Submarine subtracts an additional 3 minutes,      etc.).  Penalties for being overtime: Your total time gets doubled each minute you are over the      3-hour limit.  Winner has the lowest total time.
